We’ve been looking forward to this trip for a few months. No one really knew if there was going to be snow when we got there…we just hoped! As we made our way up a narrow mountain road, patches of white appeared until we were smack dab in the middle of a winter wonderland. Our cabin was just perfect!
We settled in, started a fire, and let the kiddos play for the rest of the evening. There was about six inches of snow when we got there, and no one knew there would be over four feet of snow when we left three days later. The next morning, we were excited to get the kids bundled up, and out in the snow! We bundled the kids …um very efficiently …and ten minutes later there were a bit frustrated…and hot. We went in, re-gathered, and decided to go out again in the afternoon… with a different wardrobe strategy.
After a nap, we tried again (with less layers), and went sledding……and we had a snowball fight……and made the most perfect snowman I’ve ever seen in real life……and that was the end of day two. Well actually this was…
