When Grey and Greyson were feeling under the weather this weekend, we drank all kinds of smoothies. This was one of our favorites. It has the freshness of citrus and, and the heartiness of banana that filled up their tummies when nothing else sounded good.
We normally drink some sort of smoothie about 5-6 times a week so we are always searching out great new smoothie recipes! This one falls under our favorites list. I love the versatility, we often will add a handful of spinach or kale to boost the nutritional value. It won’t hold it’s pretty color, but this orange, strawberry, and banana smoothie is perfect for adding greens. Here’s the recipe…
Orange, Strawberry, and Banana Smoothie
8 oz of water
1 banana, peeled
1 orange, peeled and quartered
1 cup frozen strawberries
handful of spinach or kale (optional, not photographed)
Blend all ingredients into a blender. If too thick add water to desired consistency.
