We can hardly believe it has been one year since we announced our “last blog post.” It seems like those twelves month went by so quickly.
We’ve been busy around the house with day-in and day-out activities of cleaning, organizing, cooking, talking, gardening, laughing, and being with family. More notably, have taken on a few projects to improve the garden, and our little home. Grey worked relentlessly during the summer to expand our garden. It is now three times the size and has much more growing space for new varieties of fruits and vegetables. 🙂
Our summer garden was abundant with many tomato varieties, cucumbers, different types of squashes, and… peanuts! We had never grown them, and their success drove us to include them in our garden this summer. Currently, our winter garden is full of rain-soaked, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, rutabagas, turnips, Swiss chard, Brussels sprouts, onions, garlic, and cabbage; which of course, has been doing wonders for the kitchen!
These days, Grey and I have been eating more plant based meals. I’m not quite sure how it happened, but our love for veggie packed meals hasn’t left much room for meat or poultry…though there is still some room. 😉 Our kitchen has been bubbling over with new soups, stews, pasta dishes, and everything else in between.
We’ve been enjoying the process of developing new recipes and fine tuning our “favorite meal” list for future months and years to come.
During the past year, we’ve had a chance to catch up on lingering projects, and achieve some household goals. We have improved this space in hopes that it is more helpful/encouraging to you. There will be a few changes around here, but I’ve kept our archived blog posts for reference. We encourage you to visit our updated about page and, even if you’re a long time friend, our “start here” page.
We hope this space will be a blessing to you during this new year.
Have a happy new year, friends.
Grey & Brianna
