A List of Salad Toppings. … for big ‘ol bowl of salad night.

Once or twice a week, Grey and I have a big ‘ol salad for dinner. We start by adding some greens, beans, veggies, cheese, or whatever we have in the kitchen that would be tasty in a salad, then a little dressing; and after everything is tossed together we add two forks right into the same bowl.

We enjoy this dinner because it is light, easy to make…and for me…it’s easy to clean up. 😀

We might start with a bed of fresh baby spinach.

Then add some sliced cucumber.

…and maybe a chopped carrot.

…and sliced mushrooms.

…and pickled beets.

SONY DSC Normally we enjoy pickled beets from the garden, but when we are all out Aunt Nellie’s is a delicious option.

next we might throw in some kidney beans.

..and nobody’s complaining about a little fresh parmigiano reggiano, right? Not in our house at least. 😉

Once everything is nestled into the same big ‘ol bowl—toss.

Finally add two forks.

….or serve in individual bowls like civilized folk. Totally up to you.
