(I plan my menus in Google Docs, but any word processor works well.)
Open a blank Document.
Write the days of the week:
Then one by one fill the blank spots with meal ideas: “Turkey Meatballs with Butternut Squash Sauce, Chicken Stuffed with Goat Cheese and Sun-Dried Tomatoes, etc.” Click here to see my menu for the week.
Then after every night has a meal assigned I will gather/print all recipes and open a new Google doc for the grocery list.
Carefully go through each recipe for the week and write ingredients that you do not already have in your kitchen.
Print Grocery List. Click here to see ours for the week. Go grocery shopping and stock up on everything you will need. Go home.
Store recipes in a place that you can access during the week.
Voila! It is that easy. This eliminates one more thing you have to do in a day. Breath. Relax. Go on…give it a shot. I challenge you to try this just for a week, and see how it effects your kitchen 😉
Hope you have a plan-your-menu-kind-of-week
